WHY HEALTH

The urban areas of our cities are dotted with slums which house the impoverished who have come from afar in search of livelihood. They live in unhygienic conditions and are prone to disease and distress. It is our endeavour to ensure that the people living in these conditions have an opportunity to lead a healthy life and for this we start from the birth of the child itself.

WHAT WE DO

Mahavir International, Secunderabad is dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals living in impoverished conditions. Through our “Health” project, we provide essential healthcare services and support to those who need it the most. Our efforts include organizing health camps where we offer free medical check-ups, consultations, and treatments, ensuring access to vital healthcare resources. We also prioritize health education and awareness, conducting sessions and programs to empower individuals and families with knowledge about preventive measures and proper hygiene practices. Collaborating with local healthcare providers and institutions, we extend the reach of our services and leverage their expertise. Additionally, we actively engage in advocacy and policy initiatives, working to address the health challenges faced by marginalized communities and promote sustainable changes in the healthcare system. Through these comprehensive efforts, we strive to make a positive impact on the lives of individuals, their families, and the community as a whole.

Since its establishment in 2018, MI Dental Clinic has provided subsidized or free dental treatment to over 3000 patients. Our clinic is driven by a dedicated dentist who possesses a deep passion for serving the community and shares a common vision. Additionally, we organize annual dental camps to promote awareness about dental care.

Twice a year, we conduct Health Camps for Women and Children, specifically reaching out to marginalized communities. These camps aim to provide free consultations and diagnoses, enabling early detection of clinical complexities. To date, our efforts have positively impacted over 2500 women and children, serving our purpose of improving their health and well-being.

Annually, we organize an Eye Camp with the objective of early detection and treatment of various eye conditions, including cataracts. Through surgical interventions, we strive to address cataract-related issues effectively. Moreover, we extend our support by providing free spectacles to all participants in need, ensuring improved vision and overall eye health.

Our organization distributes baby kits to ensure that infants are kept in hygienic conditions and receive proper nutrition at birth. These kits are provided to those in need at government hospitals. By offering essential supplies, such as diapers, clothes, and feeding equipment, we contribute to the well-being of newborns and support their healthy development. Our initiative aims to address the needs of underprivileged families, promoting better healthcare and hygiene practices for infants in their early stages of life.
